Job Summary

The Applications Security Manager will play a critical role in leading a team of highly skilled engineers to deliver industry-leading application security solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development and strategic evolution of our application security program, providing security guidance to over 20,000 developers, and ensuring the delivery of secure and resilient applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8-12 individual contributors, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
• Drive the development and strategic evolution of the application security program, including the creation of long-term roadmaps and the implementation of effective security solutions.
• Provide security guidance, product enhancements, and custom software solutions to stakeholders across the organization.
• Ensure the delivery of highly secure and resilient applications, with a focus on achieving > 99.999% availability across 3-5 products.
• Oversee controls and implement procedures in alignment with enterprise policies, risk management best practices, and the highest standards of ethical behavior.
• Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with application security champions, development teams, and other cybersecurity groups.
• Work closely with offshore development and product support teams to ensure seamless delivery of application security solutions.

Essential Qualifications

• 4+ years of data security analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and education.
• 2+ years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and building strong relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology management experience, including managing software updates, ensuring availability, and driving technical innovation.
• 4+ years of application security experience, with a focus on delivering secure and resilient applications.
• 4+ years of programming development or scripting experience, with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD technologies, including Jira, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and similar tools.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly GCP and Azure, with experience in migrating applications to the cloud.
