Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Room Attendant - Housekeeper, you will be responsible for:

• Greeting guests with a warm and friendly smile, ensuring that they feel welcome and valued
• Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to the highest standards, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
• Changing bed linens and replacing towels and other amenities to ensure a fresh and clean environment
• Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures, and dusting walls and equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness
• Notifying managers of any repairs or maintenance issues in guest rooms
• Processing guest items left in rooms according to our lost and found policy
• Following sustainability guidelines and practices related to our EarthView program
• Practicing safe work habits, wearing protective safety equipment, and following MSDS and OSHA standards
• Performing house person and lobby attendant duties when short-staffed or during peak periods
• Monitoring guest satisfaction scores and working towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
• Ensuring overall guest satisfaction and delivering exceptional customer service

Your Background and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training
• The ability to understand and communicate in English
• A strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hospitality
• Excellent customer service skills and a warm and friendly demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, pushing, and pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 pounds
