Position Overview

• Job Title: Part-Time Tutor
• Location: Bernardsville, NJ (with some online tutoring options)
• Compensation: $50 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Start Date: Immediate hiring

Key Responsibilities

As a part-time tutor with Collegewise, you will be responsible for:

• Instructing students privately at our offices or online (via Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.)
• Preparing students for ACT, SAT, ISEE/SSAT, AP exams, and academic subjects
• Developing and implementing customized lesson plans to meet students' needs
• Providing ongoing support and feedback to students and parents
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communication with parents
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Ability to score in the 95th percentile or above in selected subjects (ACT/SAT, Subject Tests, or AP exams)
• For academic subjects, a 95th percentile score on the associated Subject Test(s)
• For GMAT and GRE tutors, a 90th percentile score

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching or tutoring experience (preferred but not required)
• Experience working with high school students
• Familiarity with college admissions process and testing requirements
