Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and confident Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Bismarck Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist at Sanford, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images, and implementing radiation safety guidelines. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including clinic, hospital, ED, and OR, and will be part of a team that values precision, quality, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, including fluoroscopy, surgery, orthopedics, general, and emergency procedures
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures according to provider requests
  • Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process
  • Understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and be aware of general radiology protocols
  • Perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection
  • If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
