Responsibilities: Driving Success as a Senior Test Engineer

As a Senior Test Engineer at TISTA, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing functional testing scenarios and detailed test cases that meet business requirements
• Managing project deadlines, time, and schedule in a fast-paced federal environment
• Reviewing and generating complex test plans, test case data, and testing scripts based on functional specifications
• Executing test cases, coordinating and executing tests, logging and validating defects, and debugging and documenting results
• Managing and maintaining DSTRs (Defect Summary and Tracking Reports)
• Defining the level of effort required for building test cases and estimating testing timelines
• Assisting the test lead/manager in defining and refining functional testing approaches, tools, automation, and documentation
• Interacting with federal and contractor functional leads to clarify requirements and scenarios
• Assisting federal and contractor resources in conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Responding to developers' questions regarding test results, bugs, and defects
• Communicating frequently with customers and team members, exercising professional judgment as required

Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate for This Role

To succeed as a Senior Test Engineer at TISTA, you'll need to possess a unique combination of skills, experience, and education. Here are the essential qualifications:

• 6+ years of IT industry experience, with a focus on manual testing and quality assurance
• Experience with Agile methodology and SDLC models like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and understand functional and technical architecture design documents
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience in testing Java, .Net, Web, SOA, ETL-based applications
• Java development experience (some level)
• Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, MS-Access, and intermediate understanding of Unix and Windows
• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study

Clearance and Location

This role requires the ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA.

The pay range for this position is $59,145 to $74,625, with the actual salary offer carefully considering a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
