Key Responsibilities

As a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Yorktown South, your role will be multifaceted, focusing on delivering high-quality math instruction to students in a variety of settings. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method?, terminology, and teaching practices
• Working collaboratively with other team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives the attention they need
• Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, adapting your teaching strategies as necessary
• Becoming proficient with our digital educational materials and processes, leveraging technology to enhance learning
• Supporting the maintenance of a safe, professional, and welcoming learning environment that encourages students to thrive

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed as a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Yorktown South, you'll need:

• A passion for math and a desire to share this passion with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner
• An eagerness to learn and be trained in our methodologies, staying up-to-date with best practices in math education
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in the math curriculum for 2nd-12th grade
• The ability to balance various ongoing tasks, managing your time effectively to meet the needs of multiple students

All applicants will be required to:

• Take a math literacy test to demonstrate their math proficiency
• Provide work authorization
• Pass a background check
