The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization and right now we have 8 openings for Direct Care Support Professionals who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others. Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Boxford, MA. Shifts Available
- 1st shift: M-F 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- 2nd shift
- Overnights and/or weekends
- Providing hands-on care and assisting individuals with autism in their daily routines.
- Supporting these individuals in developing daily living skills, such as personal care, dressing, cooking, and cleaning.
- Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
- Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
- Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
- Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary)
- Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
- Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with co-workers and supported individuals. Must be able to read fluently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
