A professional family is seeking an experienced and meticulous part-time live-out Housekeeper for their five-bedroom, five-bathroom private home in Southwest Wiltshire, in a village near Salisbury.

The position offers a long-term opportunity for someone who wishes to become a valued and trusted part of the household team. As the family divide their time between Wiltshire and London, the home requires ongoing upkeep both when they are in residence and when they are away.

When the family are not present, the role provides flexibility in hours; when they are visiting (typically every other weekend and during school holidays), a more hands-on presence is required. The household includes three children and a friendly family dog, and the family also employ a Nanny who has been with them for over five years.

Responsibilities of the Part-time Housekeeper in Southwest Wiltshire, include:

• Exceptional cleaning and home organisation, to a luxury hotel standard
• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
• Bed making and room preparation
• Light cooking and meal preparation as needed
• Overseeing and accepting deliveries and supervising tradespeople
• Occasional pet care
• Supporting the household in preparation for family visits and ensuring the house is well-maintained during periods of absence

• Prior experience working in private households
• Discreet, trustworthy, and reliable
• Longevity in previous positions
• Exceptional attention to detail and 5* hotel standards of housekeeping
• Able to work independently and manage their own time
• Flexible and happy to adapt to the family’s schedule
• Comfortable around children and pets
• A driver’s licence and own transport (due to the rural location)

Averagely 15 – 20 hours per week, with seasonal fluctuation, depending on when the family are in residence.

During family visits: typically, Monday – Friday, 4 – 5 hours per day.

When family is away – hours are flexible, to be arranged in agreement.
