Responsibilities

As a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting customers with questions related to accounting software processes, ledger entry, navigation, and other troubleshooting needs
  • Providing exceptional customer service over the phone in a virtual or 'brick and mortar' call center environment
  • Taking ownership of customer issues in order to provide confident resolution
  • Maintaining a quiet, uninterrupted workspace and an organized desk area
  • Meeting technology requirements, including a personal computer, broadband internet connection, Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system, valid antivirus software, and a wired USB headset with microphone

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software
  • Bookkeeping/accounting expertise, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, etc.
  • Customer service experience and demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment
  • Strong ownership of customer issues in order to take control of the situation and provide confident resolution
  • Tech savvy and avid computer user
  • Ability to communicate with a friendly tone and professional demeanor
  • Quiet, uninterrupted space
  • Organized desk area
  • Personal computer (no tablet)
  • Broadband internet connection, at least 10 Mbps download speed
  • Wired internet connection (no wi-fi or mobile internet)
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
  • Valid antivirus software installed, running, and up to date
  • Wired USB headset with microphone
  • Mac acceptance is limited to Intel-based machines with Windows 11 installed via Apple's Boot Camp utility
  • No VPN; computers may not connect to internet services through a private VPN during Working Solutions working time

Essential Qualifications

While the following qualifications are not essential, they are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with cloud-based accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
