Job Overview

In this role, you will utilize your exemplary customer service skills, patience, understanding, and compassion to answer inbound phone calls for our clients' members. You will answer questions related to their healthcare benefits, providing thorough and efficient support to gather customer information, assess and fulfill customer needs, and educate customers where applicable regarding products and services. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of our company, and your goal will be to resolve customer issues via one-call resolution guidelines and/or escalated processes, meeting or exceeding company and client performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Professionally handle a high volume of incoming calls, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information, assess and fulfill customer needs, and educate customers where applicable regarding products and services.
  • Utilize and navigate multiple systems simultaneously, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be dependable and meet all attendance requirements, ensuring that our customers receive the support they need in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Resolve customer issues via one-call resolution guidelines and/or escalated processes, meeting or exceeding company and client performance metrics.
  • Maintain a balance between company policy and client benefit in decision-making, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible support.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact our client and its customers.
  • Compile and document customer information as required, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Qualifications

  • Dedicated area to work from in your home, with a reliable internet connection that meets our requirements (20 Mb/s for download speeds and 10 Mb/s for upload speeds).
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical abilities, with the ability to identify customer needs and clearly articulate products and services.
  • Schedule flexibility to include weekends, evenings, possible holidays, and occasional overtime, ensuring that our customers receive the support they need in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or benefits-related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
