About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and building these platforms, leveraging your expertise in technology choices, design patterns, and best practices to drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply your broad knowledge of technology choices, technology platforms, design patterns, and strategies across the Data Engineering landscape to build systems that solve business problems.
• Construct frameworks and datasets using programming best practices, data management fundamentals, data storage principles, latest advances in distributed systems, and operational excellence best practices.
• Analyze source systems, define critical data sources and transformation requirements, design logical data models, and document the design/specifications.
• Demonstrate a passion for quality and productivity by utilizing professional development techniques, standards, and guidelines.
• Effectively communicate with various teams and stakeholders, escalating technical and administrative issues brilliantly and resolving conflicts.
• Peer review work, actively mentor other team members, enhancing their skills, their understanding of our systems, and their ability to deliver results.

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-temporary professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-temporary experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
