About the Opportunity:

We're seeking experienced professionals with a Master's degree to join our team as Online Visiting Professors for Network Security. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you'll have the opportunity to share your expertise and experience with students, teaching day, evening, and/or Saturday practitioner-based programs in various instructional areas. Our faculty members play a vital role in facilitating student learning by delivering educational courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.

Responsibilities:

As an Online Visiting Professor for Network Security, your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and providing students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
• Organizing, preparing, and regularly revising and updating all course materials.
• Utilizing appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
• Modeling effective oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
• Setting clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
• Ensuring that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
• Demonstrating consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and providing timely feedback to students.
• Completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree is required; a Doctoral degree is preferred (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching; PhD or MS Software Engineering, MSCS or MS Cyber Security).
• Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation.
• Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
• Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
• Faculty must also have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
• Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.

Compensation and Benefits:

As a Visiting Professor, your pay will be based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2600 per 8-week session. Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN, and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $20.00/hour or $21.50/hour. DeVry University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
