Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in La Vergne, TN. As an RBT, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with children in their homes, implementing ABA therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, while also advancing your career in the field of ABA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions
  • Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for working with children and families, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality services. The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting
  • 1-year ABA Experience, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
  • University Partnerships, Supervision, Practicum, and Mentoring experience
