Job Synopsis: Agency Sales Manager

We're seeking an experienced Agency Sales Manager to lead our corporate travel management organizations at Alaska Airlines. As a seasoned professional in this role, you'll be responsible for making informed decisions that drive consistent revenue growth, leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge to build strong relationships with key accounts. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an informed authority for TMC (Travel Management Company) business, driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships with key accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with TMC accounts, focusing on delivering exceptional travel experiences for Alaska Airlines.
  • Exercise significant judgment to manage pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations for TMC agreements, ensuring the highest possible market share and yield.
  • Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop contractually binding agreements.
  • Analyze revenue, discounts, and contract performance to ensure objective compliance and profitability.
  • Foster marketing-related advancements to drive sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business loyalty teams.
  • Manage the arrangement of TMC agency accounts through sales calls, negotiating agreements, and coordination with pricing.
  • Plan business growth and lead development of other agency accounts, collaborating with the revenue management team to ensure accurate passages and drive expected revenue.
  • Monitor reporting and metrics to identify trends and develop strategies to ensure Alaska Airlines is well-positioned in the market.
  • Effectively manage time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate.
  • Prepare and execute local sales plans according to corporate sales targets, ensuring Alaska Airlines is strategically positioned among its competitors.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, with a focus on the retail management environment or related area.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous airline experience.
  • Familiarity with travel industry data reporting sources like ARC and Sabre.
  • Proficiency with CRM tool Salesforce.
  • Strong relational skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of the company.
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with various teams and workgroups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to conflicts caused by competing priorities.
