About the Role

As a Ramp Specialist, you'll work with a creative and dedicated team to guarantee that our customers' belongings are handled with care and arrive at their destination on schedule. Your role will be critical in maintaining our brand's reputation for excellence and providing a positive experience for our customers. You'll be working between 20 to 40 hours a week, with shifts that may vary, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and freight to and from aircraft, ensuring on-time connections by directing incoming and outgoing aircraft from gate positions.
  • Protect freight, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Safely operate and drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas.
  • Repeatedly lift and burden baggage onto trucks to ensure each bag reaches its destination.
  • Utilize baggage scanners and computers to ensure items and freight are routed correctly to the passenger's destination.
  • Practice security-conscious behaviors in every operational process and procedure.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Ramp Specialist, you'll need:
  • To demonstrate that safety is paramount while handling personal data.
  • To embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • To consistently make safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to frequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
  • The ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • The capacity to work a fixed or rotating schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, in all weather conditions.
