We're seeking an experienced Forklift Operator II to join our 3rd shift team in Nashville. As a key member of our logistics and warehouse operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth movement of materials throughout our facility and grounds. As a Forklift Operator II, you'll be responsible for:- Pulling specific vending and cold drink equipment to fulfill sales request needs
- Ensuring all Outbound loads are secured and safe by applying protective wrapping as needed and that the proper documentation is attached (STO)
- Loading and unloading trailers, as needed, to support delivery activities following CCCI SOPs to ensure accuracy by updating SAP, CONA via handhelds for accountability of Inbound and outbound loads to, from territories supported by Regional Operation Center
- Performing all safety and housekeeping activities, including conducting pre-and post-trip checks, reviewing daily documentation for accuracy, and keeping the work area neat and clutter-free
- Performing miscellaneous activities as directed, assisting with staging equipment and other movements, including junking equipment and yard maintenance
- Utilizing a switcher to maneuver 53' and pup trailers to the dock as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To succeed in this role, you'll need:- A working knowledge of basic safety principles, including proper lifting and use of personal protective equipment
- Advanced forklift skills (single-wide), with the ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a small area
- Basic pallet-jack skills
- Rudimentary mechanical skills and simple tool usage
- The ability to operate multiple pieces of simple machinery
- The ability to read and follow written SOPs or instructions
- The ability to complete forms (handwritten and, or computer-based) to document activities and results
- Intermediate math skills
- A thorough understanding of elements contributing to productivity
- The capacity to assess order building, loading workflow, and choose optimum pick, load path
- The ability to simultaneously manage multiple processes to support overall system efficiency
- The ability to consistently count received and compare to manifest with a high degree of accuracy
- The ability to consistently load trucks following documentation with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work in extremely high and low temperatures, noisy conditions, slippery walking surfaces, and broken glass
- The ability to occasionally lift over 25 lbs. and rarely up to or over 50 lbs.
- The ability to sit for long periods
- Frequent getting on, off of a forklift
- The ability to open and close truck dock doors
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need:- Forklift, pallet jack certification
- Switcher operation certification
- Class A CDL where required
