Job Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at Walgreens, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining software applications that store, serve, and analyze data for business insights.
• Designing and implementing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for reporting and analytics purposes.
• Writing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripts, designing database systems, and developing tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
• Developing scalable, repeatable, and secure data pipelines that meet business requirements.
• Troubleshooting software applications and data pipelines to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring that it meets data quality and accessibility standards.
• Effectively resolving problems and roadblocks as they occur.
• Interacting with internal and external stakeholders to communicate semi-complex information related to assigned activities.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
• At least 1 year of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field.
• Advanced expertise in SQL, including data modeling, querying, and optimization.
• Experience setting up and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service.
• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify problems, trends, or exceptions and drive business improvement.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within and outside of the state.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Graduate degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
• Experience with REST API development, Azure software deployment, and Azure data engineering tools, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Functions.
• Experience building Azure DevOps pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaaS), and automation.
