As the Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you'll play a critical role in leading our Trust and Security, Adversarial Abuse and Analytics team in identifying and mitigating threats to our platform. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners to develop and implement strategies that prevent and respond to adversarial abuse, while also driving business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you'll be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating threats to our platform, including account takeovers, spam, commitment misuse, and more. You'll also lead the Business Analytics group in producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing transparency reports for countries around the world. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating threats to our platform
  • Collaborating with the Strategy Development team to develop approaches using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior
  • Developing and implementing strategic solutions to complex problems, including the use of machine learning and other advanced technologies
  • Managing accelerations with quick turnaround times, providing data-driven insights and experiences, and executing plans while building relationships with key cross-functional partners
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of tools and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our Adversarial Abuse and Analytics efforts
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including cross-functional partners, to drive business growth and innovation

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related field, including experience with risk management, abuse fighting at scale, and building and communicating analytical models
  • At least 2 years of experience working with design teams that build data infrastructure and ML models
  • At least 2 years of experience driving teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as accelerations require
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop strategic solutions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • At least 2 years of experience with investigation of large datasets and anomaly detection
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in adversarial abuse activities
  • Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab
  • Exceptional influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to use data to drive strategy and business decisions
