Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Operator/File Clerk, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Maintaining Employee and Customer Data: Accurately update employee and customer information in our database system, ensuring that all records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Data Entry and Verification: Enter data into our electronic system, verify its accuracy, and correct any errors or deficiencies. Research and coordinate with concerned departments to fill in missing information.
- Data Integrity and Security: Ensure the confidentiality and security of our data, adhering to our company's policies and procedures.
- Filing and Record-Keeping: Develop and maintain an efficient filing system, ensuring that all files are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Administrative Support: Provide exceptional support to our team, responding to requests for file access, and maintaining logs of borrowed papers.
- Data Program Techniques and Procedures: Apply data program techniques and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
- Paperwork and Electronic System Entry: Enter paperwork into our electronic system using data entry or optical scanners.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Data Entry Operator Certification is also considered an asset.
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Data Entry Operator, Data Entry Clerk, Typist, or similar position in an administrative department.
- Microsoft Office Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Typing Skills: Accurate and fast typing skills, with the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Data Integrity and Security: Strong understanding of data integrity and security, with a respect for confidentiality and policies.
- Administrative Procedures: Familiarity with administrative procedures and protocols.
- Filing Systems: Knowledge of filing systems and procedures.
- MS Office and Office Equipment: Very good knowledge of MS Office and office equipment, such as photocopiers and scanners.
- Communication Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written.
