Job Overview: College Chemistry Tutor

We're seeking experienced and knowledgeable Chemistry Tutors to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As a College Chemistry Tutor with Tutoring of Nashville, you'll have the opportunity to work with students who require personalized guidance and support in their academic pursuits. Our ideal candidate is an experienced educator with a strong background in Chemistry and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring sessions to college-level students in Chemistry
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student
• Submit session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
• Balance tutoring hours effectively to meet the needs of assigned students
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and our office team to address concerns, questions, and requests
• Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
• Ensure that you're servicing students whose needs align with your expertise and qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, preferably in teaching or tutoring
• Strong knowledge and understanding of College Chemistry concepts and principles
• Experience with basic database/data entry and administrative tasks
• Ability to prepare effectively for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and personalities
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance
• Access to a computer, internet, and a smartphone

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees in Chemistry or a related field
• Experience with data entry, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
• Previous experience working with students of varying ages, skill levels, and learning styles
