About the Role

This Data Scientist position is part of our Cost and Operations Analysis team, focusing on enhancing efficiency, automation, and supplier experience. As a key member of this team, you'll work on complex projects that require advanced analytical skills, technical expertise, and business acumen. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement models, tools, and algorithms to optimize processes related to HCB's case environment, driving efficiency and productivity.
• Identify and quantify opportunities for analysis to improve efficiency and increase automation in claims adjudication and claims adjustment.
• Create, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate issues, identify patterns, and recommend solutions.
• Analyze, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various formats to inform business decisions.
• Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analysis to drive insights and recommendations.
• Develop data architectures and pipelines to integrate, collect, and normalize data that generates insights and addresses reporting needs.
• Use data visualization techniques to communicate analytical results effectively and support business decisions.
• Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned programs and ensure the integrity of the data.
• Analyze existing data and recommend additional sources of data for enhancements.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant analytical experience, preferably in a healthcare or finance setting.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as R or Python, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
