We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that drive business process automations and support sales and service strategies. As a Data Scientist at Tesla, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that leverage data science tools and techniques to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of data science projects, from problem formulation to data analysis and modeling, and provide solutions to business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain complex data pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to democratize data and enable an information-driven organization.
• Effectively communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, with varying levels of data science understanding and backgrounds.
• Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver business insights that drive decision-making.
• Apply various machine learning, advanced analytics, and visualization techniques to diverse datasets across the organization.

Essential Qualifications

• MS degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Economics, or Engineering).
• Strong passion for results-driven data science and in-depth knowledge of data science skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of extracting insights from data and building machine learning models, particularly in business analytics or related domains.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with expertise in standard data science libraries and frameworks like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, PySpark, etc.
• Experience with at least one visualization tool, such as Tableau, Streamlit, etc.
• Skilled in data wrangling and analyzing large and complex datasets, both structured and unstructured.
• Ability to self-start and work independently in an unstructured environment, navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to uncertain problems.
• Strong problem formulation, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities.
• Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
• Knowledge of Tesla's business operations and industry trends.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools.
