About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Linux Administrator with scripting expertise to join our talented team in a hybrid cloud environment. As a Linux Administrator - Scripting (SA2), you'll design the architecture and develop solutions to meet our organization's needs while enhancing your skillset and advancing your career. You'll work in a dynamic environment where you'll create, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux instances on multiple networks and architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Linux server administration tasks, including configuring, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain scripts using languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, and PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues, and communicate effectively with service owners.
• Work in a hybrid cloud environment, leveraging AWS Cloud technologies, including EC2 Auto Scaling, aws-cli, and boto3.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and think outside the box to find creative solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and be willing to learn and adapt to changing requirements.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or 5 years of additional SA experience in lieu of a degree).
• Experience with Linux server administration, including configuring, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell.
• A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, with a minimum certification of IAT Level II (SEC+, CCNA).

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have:

• Experience with Puppet and Ansible.
• Knowledge of AWS EC2 Auto Scaling, aws-cli, and boto3.
• A proven track record of automating repetitive tasks using scripting languages.
