We're now seeking an exceptional individual to join our Sales & Distribution team as the Head of New Business Development, a pivotal role that will drive significant growth in our UK Retail business.

About the Role

This fully remote position offers an immediate start for the right candidate, and we're looking for someone with a strong and diverse skillset to drive success. As the Head of New Business Development, you'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities and distribution channels across the UK landscape, aligned with our strategic plan to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of the UK Retail business by leveraging all distribution channels, developing and maintaining a strong market reputation, and engaging in both new and existing partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement strategies for new business initiatives, overseeing the delivery and implementation of deals both internally and externally.
  • Develop and execute Sales & Distribution strategies that surpass our competition and align with business goals, representing Zurich in negotiations with external stakeholders, including major distribution partners, customers, and regulators.
  • Work closely with Sales and Distribution leadership to drive development across the UK distribution landscape, establishing metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and success of new business initiatives, providing regular reports to senior management.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong financial understanding and regulatory awareness, with experience in managing profit and loss and deal management.
  • Proven experience in high-level business-to-business negotiations and partnership development, with a credible market presence and reputation.
  • Experience in business leadership and the motivation of large remote teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proven track record in a senior leadership role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not essential, the following skills and experience will be highly valued:

  • A deep understanding of the UK insurance market and distribution channels.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, with a focus on driving growth and innovation.
  • A strong network of contacts within the industry, with a reputation for being a trusted and respected leader.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including:
