Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth through outreach and lead follow-up. If you have a strong foundation in mathematics, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at Mathnasium, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Positively interact and engage with students and parents, building rapport, establishing trust, answering inquiries, and getting to know the families
  • Conduct sales outreach via phone, email, text, lead follow-up, program consultations, and signing up new families into the program
  • Data entry and spreadsheet management of all key sales and operational activities
  • Conduct student assessments, grading, and printing materials and reports for parent reviews
  • Digital Marketing tasks, including writing blogs and posts on social media and website channels
  • Support center staff with administrative and cleaning tasks

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate with a degree in mathematics, sciences, engineering, communications, or teaching
  • Strong foundational math skills up to Algebra
  • 2+ years of prior working experience in customer service
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Excellent PC, MS Office skills, and data entry skills
  • Strong work ethic, punctual, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Availability to work 1 PM-7 PM Monday-Friday and Saturday from 9 AM-1 PM
