Teen and Young Adult Hosts and Reporters for Express Yourself!™ Radio Broadcast

Express Yourself! Young Adult Radio Host and Reporter Positions (Training Fee Required, See Below for Details) Thank you for wanting to participate in our unique opportunity for youth to be reporters and hosts on the radio. All participants must sign an Appearance Release Form. Express Yourself!(tm) is available to English speaking youth ages 10 and older. The program has no religious or political agendas. All participants under the age of 18 must have permission from their parents or guardians and sign the Minor Media Release Form. Express Yourself!(tm) is a weekly radio show brought to the airwaves as an outreach program of Be the Star You Are!(r) charity giving youth across the world a voice to be listened to. Broadcast on the Voice America Kids Network, Express Yourself!(tm) boasts teens and young adults who are coached to be hosts and reporters by producer, Cynthia Brian. Each week a different theme is presented based on one of the chapters from the book, Be the Star You Are!(r). Guests are interviewed by the hosts and include authors, experts, athletes, film and TV stars, musicians, entrepreneurs, social media celebrities, and more. The program pre-records via SKYPE on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00pm PT and airs the following Tuesday at NOON PT. Broadcasts reach 132 countries. Participants must fill out the Be the Star You Are!(r) volunteer questionnaire. C RADIO PROGRAM INFO: The program is divided into 4 segments, each 12 minutes long, with a station identification break and PSA between each one. A radio clock will be provided with training on how to keep on time. All shows will be PRE-RECORDED using SKYPE to connect with the Voice America Network studios in Arizona. We record Wednesdays from 5:00pm -6:00pm PACIFIC and each person must be on SKYPE at least 15 minutes before scheduled record time. Each reporter must have an EXTERNAL microphone and headphones or headset to use SKYPE and be connected via Ethernet or cable.. In cases of emergency, SKYPE via cell phone may work. Shows are not edited This radio show will also be uploaded to the Express Yourself!(r) web site at http://www.ExpressYourselfTeenRadio.com as well as live on Voice America Kids on Tuesdays at Noon, http://www.voiceamerica.com/show/2014/express-yourself Every person associated with the program will be required to post weekly information to social networking sites to help publicize our radio show. CONTRIBUTORS/REPORTERS: Each weekly program features one to four volunteer reporters. Each reporter decides what his/her special focus for the show will be. Reporters must email Cynthia Brian his/her script at least THREE days in advance of the recording. Segments to be about 6 minutes of the report plus 10 questions as prompts for the hosts and a short bio of you. All reporters must be able to improvise and have a fun conversation with the hosts. Our reporters are always in the first and last segment with a different reporter in each. More information will be provided.
