Key Responsibilities

• Develop statistical, machine learning, and AI-based security models for cybersecurity and intrusion detection that are achievable, scalable, and meet business targets.
• Understand business problems and use data science expertise to uncover key factors that can impact outcomes on specific products.
• Mentor less experienced engineers in standards and best practices.
• Secure and prepare datasets for modeling and ensure data integrity and protection.
• Apply knowledge of AI solutions and individual algorithms to identify the best approach to achieve targets.
• Develop and execute experiments, analyze results using statistical tests, and communicate findings to business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with security threat experts to understand cyberattack strategies and build security models.
• Evaluate how well models meet business objectives and define feedback and assessment strategies.
• Provide guidance on model operationalization and integration into the project approach.
• Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to provide feedback to the engineering team and identify potential future business opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Information Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of data science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical methods, and reporting results).
• 2+ years of programming experience in Python or Scala.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Information Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure AI, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
