Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI and statistical models to predict subscriber behavior, including churn, upgrade/downgrade, and price responsiveness.
• Create innovative machine learning strategies to address key business questions and identify new areas for exploration.
• Drive experimentation to evaluate the impact of your models and collaborate with various data teams to improve platform capabilities.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior executives, influencing business decisions and shaping the future of Disney's streaming services.
• Work closely with colleagues across the organization to identify opportunities and drive business growth through data-driven insights.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Data Scientist at Disney, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Physics, Econometrics, or Statistics.
• 3+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating practical AI solutions.
• Strong coding experience in languages like Python/R, with additional experience in scientific libraries like Numpy, Pandas, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and developing ML models using Python, with experience in ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.
• A solid foundation in statistical modeling, including regression, classification, time series forecasting, causal inference, and other techniques.
• The ability to create insights and conclusions from data to inform model development and business decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• A good understanding of SQL.

• Experience with distributed data technologies (Hive, Flash).
• Experience with NLP and NN models.
