Job Overview

As an Elementary Math Tutor with our organization, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional tutoring services to students in the Chattanooga area. Our ideal candidate is an experienced educator with a strong background in math and a passion for inspiring young minds. You will work closely with students to identify areas of improvement, develop customized lesson plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring in elementary math and entry-level algebra to students in the Chattanooga area
• Develop and implement customized lesson plans to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student
• Submit session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
• Effectively balance tutoring hours assigned to each student and manage your schedule accordingly
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, and our office team to address concerns, questions, and requests
• Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours to ensure continuity of service
• Only service students whose needs align with your expertise and qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, preferably in teaching or tutoring
• Strong understanding of elementary math concepts and entry-level algebra
• Experience with basic database/data entry and administrative tasks
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance and access to a computer, internet, and a smartphone

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees in education or a related field
• Experience in specialized education fields, such as special education or math education
• Strong administration skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
