Job Overview

Job Title: Customer Service Specialist - Aviva Travel Insurance

Location: Remote (Work from Home)

Salary: £22,556.82 Per Annum - £12.10 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time 35.85 hours per week, working 5/7 days, Monday to Friday 08:00-20:00, Saturday 08:00-18:00, Sunday 10:00-16:00

Training: 15 days of comprehensive training, with no holidays or appointments authorized during the first 6 weeks of employment

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist with Aviva Travel Insurance, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing Aviva travel customers' policies and handling call demand for our banking partner
  • Dealing with complex medical queries and screening customers' medical conditions
  • Adhering to mandatory call scripts on all calls and using multiple systems simultaneously
  • Owning and handling FCA regulated complaints through to completion
  • Identifying and recording vulnerability, where patience, empathy, and support are critical
  • Complying with strict FCA regulations around compliance with a key focus on customer protection

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Comprehensive experience within a customer service environment
  • Fantastic verbal and communication skills
  • The ability to establish collaborative customer relationships and a good attitude
  • Strong written skills with attention to detail and a professional and friendly manner
  • A good, consistent typing speed and the ability to use multiple systems simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using and navigating PC systems within a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We would also prefer candidates to have:

  • Experience working in the insurance industry or a related field
  • Familiarity with FCA regulations and compliance
  • Previous experience handling complex medical queries or screening customers' medical conditions
