Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tandem Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications running on HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tandem programming languages, databases, and transaction systems, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on HP NonStop / Tandem platforms. Maintain and enhance existing applications for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. Develop and optimize TACL scripts, TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, C, or C++ programs. Work with Tandem databases (Enscribe, SQL/MP, SQL/MX) to write queries and improve database performance. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a 24/7 mission-critical environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, QA, operations) to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure applications comply with security, regulatory, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS for payments). Document system design, processes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in Tandem/HP NonStop application development. Proficiency in TACL scripting, TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, C, or C++. Strong knowledge of Enscribe, SQL/MP, SQL/MX databases. Experience in transaction processing systems (e.g., BASE24, Connex) preferred. Understanding of fault-tolerant, high-availability architectures. Experience with debugging, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance tuning. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
