Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tax Preparer to prepare income tax returns for our clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of prior experience in preparing income tax returns, with the ability to effectively address and resolve tax notices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring that their tax needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive income tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations
• Effectively address and resolve tax notices, communicating with clients and relevant authorities as necessary
• Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Provide exceptional client service, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve the quality of tax returns and services provided to clients
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of tax returns and client interactions

Essential Qualifications

• At least 5 years of prior experience preparing income tax returns
• Enrolled agent preferred, but not required
• Experience with UltraTax required, with Sureprep preferred
• Ability to effectively address and resolve tax notices
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience working in a public accounting firm or similar environment
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in tax preparation software
