Role: FHIR Tech Lead

Location: Providence, RI/ Remote

Duration: Contract

Mandatory Skills: End-to-End Technical delivery of FHIR-based Interoperability solutions, including data ingestion, API development, and integration with payer and provider systems.

Job Description

  • FHIR Technical Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end technical delivery of FHIR-based interoperability solutions, including data ingestion, API development, and integration with payer and provider systems.
  • Ensures compliance with CMS mandates and healthcare data exchange standards while optimizing performance, scalability, and security in an Azure-based environment.
  • Good experience working on all technical components UI, backend database and API
  • Design and implement FHIR-based solutions for exposing the Patient clinical and claims data through FHIR APIs
  • Design and implement solution to ingest data from external and internal systems into the FHIR repository
  • Work with client to define optimal architecture of the FHIR data infrastructure
  • Stay up to date with CMS mandates and advancements in the FHIR domain to offer effective solutions to the client
  • Lead the development and deployment of FHIR APIs using Azure services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EMR systems with Azure services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in healthcare data exchange.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of FHIR-based applications on Azure.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions for Azure infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance on Azure networking configurations and security best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ready to contribute hands-on with coding.

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of development experience in NodeJS or C#. Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Azure Health Data Services
  • Full-stack technical experience (UI, backend, APIs, and databases).
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and CMS mandates.
